Studies of relations between the Qur’an and mystical poetry focus on thematic correspondence, allusion, and quotation, while rarely operationalizing the structural agency of sacred imagery. This study compares the textual actualization of sacred imagery in Sūrat Qāf with its reconfiguration in Ghazals 441 and 1414 and the tenth tarjiʿ-band of Rumi’s Dīvān-i Kabīr, without attributing all their imagery to Sūrat Qāf. A qualitative-comparative design integrated intertextual, semiotic, and stylistic analyses. Purposive intensity sampling selected cases, which were checked against supplementary evidence. The unit of analysis was the “textual actualization of sacred imagery.” Artistic re-creation required a traceable Qur’anic marker, an intratextual chain of connections, and formal or functional transformation. Structural agency was assessed by image distribution, participation across four domains, rival reading, and a suspension test. Dreamlikeness was identified through the compression or co-presence of time, space, scene, and identity; articulation through action, address, response, and image transformation. “Guidance of awareness” denoted an intratextual shift in attentional focus and affective-epistemic orientation. In Sūrat Qāf, the central image of creation, revival, and return redirects attention from denial and confusion toward insight and remembrance. Ghazal 441 moves from the “tale of faith” toward desire for the “form of faith”; Ghazal 1414 organizes identity metamorphosis around the “Formless Form-Maker”; and the tarjiʿ-band rhythmically connects speech, silence, gazing toward the unseen, and vision. The study operationally distinguishes thematic correspondence, intertextual linkage, artistic re-creation, and structural agency; its conclusions remain limited to the selected corpus.
